Four panels of four or five accounting professionals will discuss careers in the areas of audit, taxation, corporate, and not-for-profit/government accounting. Approximately 115 students enrolled in the first semester of Intermediate Financial Accounting (ACCT 400A) will be split into two groups to participate in two concurrent sessions, each to be held in a different McClelland Hall classrooms. The panels will break for brunch in the Estes Atrium of McClelland Hall where the department head, Jeff Schatzberg, will welcome the students to the accounting major and introduce them to the faculty and panelists. This time will be an opportunity for students to meet and socialize with faculty and panelists. The students will then return to attend the afternoon sessions.
